1. upload mytuvi folder with FTP software to you home directory on your website.
2. open mytuvi directory on your website and change the permissions for assets directory, make it writable, CHMOD 755 if does'nt work try CHMOD 777.
3. open MyTuVi control panel http://yourwebsite/mytuvi/admin, create user name and password, create MyTuVi play list and publish it.
4. edit your web page and insert the following script tags in the place where you want to show MyTuVi player and save it.

   Don't forget to change WEBSITE to your acual website address. My TuVi size is 250px width and 320px height.
   
   
5. upload your web page file to it's original place on the server, or upload example.html page and check it first .
6. check MyTuVi 1.2 on your website.
7. you are done, enjoy it.

You can manage your YouTube video playlist with MyTuVi admin page . To open admin page go to http://yourwebsie/mytuvi/admin and type in user name and password .
When you open admin page for the first time you will be asked to create an account . Inserted data will be saved on your website.

You can create 2 types of video playlist, your own selected videos playlist (MyTuVi playlist) or live search playlist from youtube.com website.

How to create MyTuVi playlist?

1. Search for your videos on youtube.com by one of the following ways:
   • Type-in search term in the search field.
   • Type-in your channel name in user ID field .
   • Or combination of both (a. and b.).
   • You can search for specific video by type-in YouTube video ID in search field.
2. Sort search if you would like to.
3. click on search.
4. Drag videos from search results and drop them on MyTuVi playlist .
5. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi player, if not selected.
6. Select MyTuVi playlist from the play from drop-down list.
7. Preview MyTuVi mini player by clicking on preview button , close preview and click on publish button .

How to create live search playlist?

1. Search for your videos on youtube.com by one of the following ways:
• Type-in search term in the search field.
• Type-in your channel name in user ID field .
• Or combination of both (a. and b.).
2. Sort search if you would like to.
3. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi player, if not selected.
4. Select YouTube search result from the play from drop-down list .
5. YouTube.com allows only 1000 video searches per hour, therefore you have to set update playlist time in minutes from the drop-down list. If you don’t upload video’s on YouTube very often set the update time at 120 minutes.
6. Preview MyTuVi mini player by clicking on preview button , close preview and click on publish button .

How to start MyTuVi mini player with specific video?
You can program MyTuVi mini player to start with specific YouTube video regardless of playlist. To do so do the following.

1. Search for your videos on youtube.com as mentioned in the paragraph (How to create MyTuVi playlist?).
2. Drag desired video from search results and drop it on startup video box .
3. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi player, if not selected.
4. Select show video player from the dropdown list.
5. If you would like to let MyTuVi auto play the selected video select yes from the dropdown list.
6. Preview MyTuVi mini player by clicking on preview button , close preview and click on publish button .

How to set auto play for selected startup video?

1. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi player, if not selected.
2. Select show video player from the dropdown list.
3. select yes from the dropdown list.

How switch between video player and video playlist.

1. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi player, if not selected.
2. To show video player select show video player from the dropdown list. If you didn’t select startup video the mini player will load the first video on the playlist.
3. To show playlist select show video list.

How to change MyTuVi title?

1. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi title & website.
2. Type in your title in the title input field.

How to add a link to external website such as your twitter.com or facebook.com account?

1. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi title & website.
2. Type in website title in the website title input field.
3. Type-in website address including http:// in website address input field.

How to change MyTuVi background and text color?

1. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi colors & skin.
2. To change background color select a color from background color box.
3. To change text color select a color from text color box.

How to add skin to MyTuVi?

1. Beneath search results box select MyTuVi colors & skin.
2. Select yes from use skin drop-down list.
3. Click on upload skin and select a skin from your computer. The skin should be jpg, gif or png image. The size should be 240px width and 310 height. Don’t worry about the size, if you upload larger image MyTuVi will resize it.

Always preview and publish your changes.

How to change user name and password.

1. At the bottom of admin page click on Change log-in data.
2. Type-in your new data and save it.

How to retrieve lost password?
When you open admin page click on lost password, fill-in your email and click on send password.
If you don’t remember your email you can log-in on your server by FTP client, open mytuvi/assets folder and download mytuvi_user.inc.php. your data in download file.
